Ms. BrittanyBrittany Michel
Born and raised in San Diego, Brittany grew up with a passion for the performing arts and began training in dance and musical theater at the age of 8. Her love for dancing continued to evolve as she began to perform in musicals throughout San Diego county! By the age of 18, Brittany had performed in over 30 musicals in San Diego and wanted to share her love for the arts with others, so she began to teach and choreograph. With a strong background in tap and jazz, and an extensive history performing in musicals, Brittany truly has a passion for teaching and loves to see her students excel and light up with joy when they dance and perform. Over the years, Brittany has choreographed musicals, instructed musical theater camps, performed professionally with companies including CCT, Starlight and Moonlight, and continues to teach dance to students from ages 3.5 through adults! Her true passion is with tap dancing. The different combinations of rhythms and step syncopations is so intriguing and she finds it refreshing to create new movements and choreography using the sounds of your toes and heels. Brittany has performed with CCT’s “Traditions of Christmas” as a Rockette (kickline) in San Diego for 7 consecutive years in a row. She is inspired by her students and loves to watch their love for the arts evolve as hers did. Graduating from San Diego State University with a B.A. in Communications and a Minor in the Performing Arts, Brittany also works as a Marketing Coordinator for a local performing arts facility. If you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life. Looking forward to seeing your tappin’ toes in the studio!
