Dance Camps, Intensives & Workshops
4SDA has designed a summer program to inspire dancers of all ages and skill levels.
Students will enjoy a combination dance class that includes daily ballet with jazz, tap, musical theater, or tumbling. They will hear a reading of a fairytale each day, and then create props & headpieces that will further bring the characters of the stories to life as they dance and act them out! The week culminates with parent in-class observation and a party! **EARLY DROP-OFF & LATE PICK-UP AVAILABLE
Chill out from the heat of the summer with this fun, Ice Princess themed camp! We will have fun visiting some of our favorite frozen stories that we love so much, and students will participate in hip-hop, jazz, creative movement, tumbling, classes throughout the week. Create fun winter shapes and dances, twirl through imaginary ice castles, build a snowman, and have a fun snowball fight! Get ready for snow much fun!
Your child will love being active and artistic every day during this fantastic program! Students will start each day with a fun-filled ballet class, followed by a jazz, lyrical or musical theater class. Students will also be introduced to PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique). They will learn about different storybook ballets (Swan Lake, Coppelia, etc), throughout the week, will learn fun choreography, and participate in arts and crafts!
This program is designed for the intermediate or advanced dancer who is ready to excel in their ballet technique. Curriculum will include daily ballet class, as well as pointe/pre-pointe, variations, PBT (Progressing Ballet Technique), turns and leaps, stretch and strengthening, repertoire, and Pilates. Students will also be given classes in jazz, contemporary, choreography, acting, ballet discussion groups, and so much more!
Dancers who are looking to expand your range of movement and understanding of your body, this workshop is for you!. Each day will start with a full contemporary technique class that will be followed by improvisation and choreography classes. At the end of the program, dancers will have both a deeper understanding of how to move their bodies and will gain tools to use in their explorations with choreography.
Hey kids, welcome to the 60’s! Get ready to sing, dance and act and find out how everyone’s hair looked so fabulous back then…it’s Hairspray! This workshop will be based off of the 2003 musical Hairspray, and include Broadway style dance classes as well as improvisation, acting, and singing lessons. In addition, students will also learn about costuming, production, stage makeup, and working in a group to make great things happen. This week is designed to bring beginners, seasoned artists & those in-between into a place where they will all learn and enjoy working together!
