We can’t wait for your dancer to enjoy being a part of a professional production, that will give them (and you!) memories that will last a lifetime. All current, enrolled students, ages 5+ are eligible to participate in 4SDA’s full production of The Nutcracker.

Your dancer will learn amazing choreography, perform on stage in a beautiful theatre in gorgeous costumes, with full sets and backdrops.

Set to Tchaikovsky’s musical score, they will help create the beloved tale of Clara and her Nutcracker as they embark on a magical journey through epic battles, dances with snowflakes, to the Land of the Sweets and back again! There will be a party scene, a battle scene, the land of snow, the land of sweets and more! There are a wide variety of parts for a large cast, so there is room for all those who want to join in the fun!

Nutcracker Auditions will be held at 4SDA on Saturday, August 26th from 1:00 to 5:30 PM. 
Students (ages 5+) in the following divisions are invited to participate*

1:00 – 1:30 PM: Lilacs, Primary, Mini
1:30 – 2:00 PM: Elementary, Division 1, Junior, Youth :
2:00 – 3:15 PM: Division 2, 3, 4 & Teen
3:30 – 5:00 PM: Division 5 & 6 
5:00 – 5:30 PM: Division 5 & 6 for Clara (optional)

PARTICIPATION COST
Includes Production Fee, (1) Nutcracker Cast T-shirt, (1) digital download
  $215 = Lilacs, Primary, Elementary, Division 1 and Rec Mini/Junior/Youth/Teen Classes
  $245 = D2 – D4 Ballet
  $295 = D5 – D6 Ballet (also includes registration for “Nutcracker Set Week”)

*All dancers are required to audition and the audition times are set according to the dancer’s level.
**Nutcracker Fees are Non-refundable. Please check your family schedule and calendar for conflicts before registering.

Rehearsals are mandatory. We always provide the upcoming rehearsal schedule in advance (a week or two). The schedule will be posted at the studio, on this page (The Parent’s Page) and in this website’s calendar section.

*Be sure to check your fall Saturday schedule for conflicts with soccer or other activities BEFORE signing up. We expect rehearsals to be your dancer’s priority and only allow one excused absence. Multiple absences will result in reduced choreography, a reduced part or removal from the production.*

Saturday afternoons between 1:30 and 6:00 PM at 4SDA. Older students may have rehearsal during the week before, after or during their class. The dress rehearsal will be during Performance Week (December 18 – 23) at the theatre venue.

The success of any performance is only made possible through our amazing volunteers! We will need do require parent volunteers for everything from chaperones and security to our wonderful flower team!
