Angelica Tilton, a San Diego native, began her early years of ballet training with Ben and Laurie-Michelle Houk at San Elijo and Music Academy in San Marcos, CA. She attended various Summer Intensive programs from 2007-2015 (Pacific North West Ballet, School of American Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Ballet West, American Ballet Theatre and Ballet Arizona). When Angelica was 14, she was invited to study under Lola De Avola and Patricke Armand in the Pre-professional program at the San Francisco Ballet School from 2009-2013. She performed La Sylphide, George Balanchine’s Western Symphony, and “Waltz of the Flowers Finale” from The Nutcracker with San Francisco Ballet. She was then offered a full scholarship to study in New York City under Franco Devita at American Ballet Theatre’s Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School from 2013-2015. She trained with Lupe Serrano, Martine van Hamel, Melissa Allan Bowman, and Richard Bowman. While in New York, she performed in excerpts from Swan Lake in the role of “Big Swan”; staged by Rosanna Seravalli and Cheryl Yeager, Alexei Ratmansky’s “Waltz of the Flowers”, La Bayadere “Pas D’ Action”; staged by Kate Lydon and Harriet Clark, and Les Sylphide in a principle role staged by Harriet Clark. She performed at Ballet Theatre’s 75th Anniversary Gala in “Rondo Capriccioso”, choreographed and set by Alexei Ratmansky. Angelica was invited to Moscow and Astrakhan, Russia where by special invitation from the Fondazione Accademia Nazionale di Danza, she along with a select group from the Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School, performed George Balanchine’s Valse Fantasy; staged by Deborah Wingert and Antony Tudor’s Soiree Musicale in the lead role of “Bolero”; staged by Diana Byer in the Gala Del Premio Roma Jia Ruskaja. Angelica danced with Ballet Arizona’s Studio Company under Carlos Valcarsel 2015-2016.
