Starting Monday, May 11th through Saturday, May 16th we will celebrate all of our 4SDA Families. While our students are busy enjoying their classes, we know that it takes a wonderful family to pay for their tuition, to shuttle them to the studio, to wait for them during class, and to do what it takes for them to learn and grow. We are thankful for all that you do and have a week designed to celebrate you! There will be free classes, events, and discounts at our neighboring businesses during this fun packed week. Check out the details!

SUMMER REGISTRATION

Summer is a wonderful time for dancers to grow! Current and new students alike can try different dance styles and further progress their technique in our Summer Session! We offer a variety of Intensives, Dance Camps, Workshops & Summer Classes for students old and new and across all levels.

FAQs

Summer Classes are dance classes are offered in two separate sessions over the summer. Families tend to travel over the summer and having the option to attend the session that works in their summer schedule is super helpful. Register for both sessions and save $$. We also offer classes on a drop in basis (single class), but please note that the drop in rate is not discounted and is more that the rate per class when registering for one or both sessions.

Intensives, Dance Camps & Workshops are similar in that a student will attend (3 to 5) days in a row for (3 to 5) hours per day. They are designed to pack in a lot over the days a student attends and we regularly see accelerated growth in the short period of days.

They differ as Intensives are designed for dancers (ages 7+) with at least some experience, while most Dance Camps are designed for younger dancers, ages 3 – 6. That said our Swifties and Barbie camps are super fun and are designed for dancers, ages 7 – 11!

Workshops are designed with specific areas of focus on a dance style or technique. Students in Workshops typically work on a piece or several pieces with a mini performance on the last day. For example, the Musical Theatre Workshop covered numbers from the Musicals Cats, Cabaret and Mama Mia, performing them on the last day.

Our former session is less formal than during the school year. Athletic / dance attire is required for all camps, workshops and classes, but there is not a formal uniform. Our ballet intensives do require students to wear leotards, tights and ballet shoes, but there is no color or style requirement. Proper dance footwear is required for every class, camp and workshop (e.g. ballet shoes, jazz shoes, non-marking sneakers etc.) Please CONTACT US for further detailed information.

Make-ups are not offered during the Summer Session. Camps, Workshops and Intensives are paid for in advance and have specific curriculum designed for each day. Our Open Classes are offered via a drop-in basis, and thus can be canceled at no charge up to 48 hours in advance of the start of the class.

FAQs

Due to the number of students that participate in the June Recital, there will be (3) shows.

To find the show(s) your dancer(s) are in, look at the following PDF:

2026 June Recital Show List – By Class

Look for your dancer’s class by Name, then confirm it is their class by the Day, Time and Teacher. If you see their class on the page, then they will perform on the day listed on the page. If your dancer is in multiple classes and/or Paquita (D2 – Senior Company), please look at all show pages as they will likely be in more than one show and thus on more than one day (e.g. Paquita performs in the Tuesday and Wednesday shows.)

The Dress Rehearsal will be the SAME DAY as the show!

*Dress rehearsal call times will vary starting at 3pm each show day. Students will rehearse and then be released so they can eat a light meal with family before returning for their performance call time.

Tickets are sold by the theatre venue. You can purchase tickets online, over the phone, or in person at the Poway Center for the Performing Arts. Check out our June Recital page for all of the details.

Performing students do not need tickets to the recital as they will perform and remain backstage for the bows at the end of the show. If a student is only in the 1st act and parents want them to sit in the audience for the 2nd act, they will then need a ticket. 4SDA students that want to watch a show they are not performing in, will need a ticket. Basically, anyone seated in the audience, whether for one act or the whole show, will need a ticket
